Ritsuro is bright and upbeat, while Ken tends to be more gloomy, yet the two remain close friends. Even after Ken drops out of high school and becomes a sex worker in a gritty underground world, Ritsuro continues to look after him fiercely. When Ritsuro comes to understand that Ken's feelings go beyond simple friendship, he finds himself conflicted between his love for Ken and his relationship with his girlfriend Moeko, creating an unusual love triangle.
