Kaiketsu Jouki Tanteidan

In a steampunk alternate world where shadowy conspiracies, brilliant villains, and self-operating machines lurk through a Japanese-inspired Gotham, the sharp intellect and nimble moves of young detective Narutaki and the mysterious nurse Ling Ling battle wickedness and solve the riddles of their strange city. After Narutaki meets Ling Ling, who hides a secret history, she becomes a loyal ally and also brings along two additional helpers. With fearsome adversaries like the Phantom Knight, the Machine Baron, and Dr. Guilty blocking their path, every bit of aid will be vital in their pursuit of equity and truth.

Kaiketsu Jouki Tanteidan was published in English as Steam Detectives by VIZ Media, first in the monthly anthology magazine Manga Vizion from October 1997 to the final issue in August 1998, then in standard tankoubon format from February 5, 1999 to June 16, 2004.
