Madeline, an 11-year-old girl, resides peacefully in a remote forest mansion in southern England alongside her younger brother Dion, their lovely mother, and their servant Moira. One day, Madeline meets and forms friendships with some children from the nearby village. Around the same time, rumors about a series of murders in London—allegedly the work of vampires—are spreading widely. Meanwhile, a sinister presence begins to creep into Madeline's calm and joyful life.
