Kaguya, an orphan raised by a Japanese family since early childhood, experiences a sudden shift from her ordinary high school routine into an incredible journey. She is mysteriously transported to a distant world where she is hailed as "Princess," and finds herself at the heart of a massive cosmic conflict. While uncovering the truth about her own identity, she must also untangle the intentions of the warring factions that seek to control her. Planet Ladder was first published in English by Tokyopop from March 23, 2002 to March 8, 2005. The license was taken over by Digital Manga Publishing, who published the series digitally from August 7, 2012 to September 9, 2013.
