Aihara Ryouji, a police detective, has been posted to department 0, where there's no need for a uniform and the cluttered headquarters features a full-length nude poster of a woman. This unit takes on the cases that headquarters can't decide what to do with, and their office is crammed with old files. Aihara wastes no time getting to work and soon finds himself caught up in a kidnapping case. Meanwhile, he's becoming acquainted with his handful of colleagues, and there's the potential for a romantic connection with an enthusiastic female officer.
