Elementary schooler Kazamaki Shouta is frequently bullied due to his short stature and shy nature. He longs for the day he'll grow up and leave his tormentors behind. One day, he stumbles upon a pocket bike race and is profoundly impressed by how, despite the bikes' tiny frames and the fact that most riders were kids, the competition brimmed with astonishing velocity and fierce determination. Even a diminutive girl named Kana boldly carved her way to the front of the pack without hesitation. Spotting Shouta's intense gaze from the sidelines, an adult racer named Okita Takurou offers him a ride on his machine. It's Shouta's first time ever on a motorcycle, and the thrill of tearing down the track amid the practicing riders sets his heart ablaze for motorcycle racing. By watching closely, he deduces the mechanics of leaning into turns and other riding techniques, uncovering a natural aptitude for the sport. With Takurou taking on the role of his coach, Shouta enters races against his parents' objections. This is the tale of Shouta's pursuit of becoming a champion racer.
