The narrative follows the intertwined daily lives of Fuu-chan, a young boy on the verge of starting elementary school, alongside his father who strives to become a more understanding parent, and his mother, who tends to worry excessively about everything. This warm-hearted gag manga gained considerable popularity right from its debut in the 1970s, when it was serialized in the shoujo magazine Bessatsu Margaret.
