In an alternate version of the 1960s, the Zirnitra Union and the United Kingdom of Arnack have emerged from a devastating war and are now locked in a fierce space race. To achieve the first crewed orbital mission, the Union secretly launches the Nosferatu Project, which uses vampires as expendable astronauts. Despite their human-like appearance, vampires are feared and shunned, making them ideal candidates for these dangerous missions. Lev Leps, a Union soldier with aspirations of becoming a cosmonaut, is assigned to oversee Irina Luminesk, designated N44, who has been selected for the project. However, Lev struggles to keep his emotional distance from Irina. As the stakes rise and danger intensifies, will either of them reach the stars?
