Because Akiba is in debt to a man named Arimura, he feels obligated to accommodate Ikumi, who appears to be Arimura's lover despite Arimura's seemingly heterosexual nature. Yet Akiba remains unaware of when Ikumi might return to Arimura. Initially frustrated by this unexpected development, Akiba gradually grows to appreciate Ikumi's pleasant and easygoing personality.
