In Tokyo, a vibrant center of technology and culture that serves as Japan's core, daily life continues as normal until a massive 8.1 magnitude earthquake strikes, reducing the city to rubble. Schools, hospitals, and vital infrastructure are obliterated, resulting in numerous casualties and leaving countless others without homes, food, or water. In the ensuing turmoil, 21-year-old college senior Jin Mishima and his eccentric gothic lolita companion Nanako Okano struggle to endure. They must confront the harsh social and practical difficulties born from the catastrophe, such as rampant criminal activity. In this altered world, safety is scarce, and only when survivors unite can anything resembling order be restored to the devastated city.
