Here Comes Trouble

Kramer, a well-known columnist, writes a piece he soon wishes he hadn't. In it, he refers to Maryanne—the daughter of a powerful figure in the newspaper world—as someone so used to a life of privilege that "she can't be independent." The fallout is immediate: Maryanne quits the job her father had secured for her and declares she's moving out of her luxury apartment, leaving behind the security guards who protected her. Feeling responsible, Kramer tries to convince her to be sensible, but Maryanne stands firm, insisting on finding a job and a place to live entirely on her own. With no other option, Kramer moves into the apartment next door so he can keep watch over her safety each day. He never imagines that this will mark just the beginning of his sleepless nights…
