A gray, heavy sky hangs overhead, muddy ground squelches underfoot, and a thin drizzle soaks her through—this is the moment when Karen Heyer regains her memories of past lives after every regression. She has lived her life countless times, yet each cycle ends in an untimely death. In her first lifetime, she simply believed she had been transported into a novel and tried to follow the story to achieve a happy ending. But happiness was never meant for her. No matter her actions, the people she meets, or the words she speaks, a brutal death always awaits. By the hundredth iteration, however, Karen decides to try something new: murder.
