Grandoll

In Grandoll, Earth is under attack by aliens who use special dolls capable of transforming into humans as part of their invasion plan. Utsuki Tetsuo, nicknamed Tecchin, is a timid junior high school student lacking in willpower and assertiveness. While walking home from school one day, he discovers what looks like a dead girl lying on the street. After he reports it to the police, the body vanishes without a trace, leaving only an unusual doll behind. Tetsuo takes the doll home and repairs its damaged parts. Suddenly, the doll transforms into the girl he saw earlier. She reveals herself to be a "Grand doll" and tells Tetsuo that he is also one of them. These Grand dolls start out as ordinary dolls but can change into humans or horses by rubbing their necks, and revert to doll form by scratching their necks. The aliens are spreading Grand dolls across Earth as a key part of their invasion. Once Tetsuo learns this truth, he decides to fight the extraterrestrial threat alongside his journalist father and his friend Yoko, despite his fear that he himself might be a Grand doll.
