In the year 2056, a young man dressed in a tactical vest, combat pants, and alloyed combat boots was perched on the edge of a collapsed six-story apartment building. That building stood in a prefecture-level city within the original Jiangsu region. A hexagonal shield and a bloodshadow combat sword were strapped to his back as he sat silently on the rooftop. Beneath the brilliant starry sky, a refreshing night breeze swept over him. Yet, in this ruined city, all was still—except for the occasional eerie howls that sent chills down the spine.
