Baron, Neko no Danshaku

Haru Yoshioka, an awkward high school student, often finds herself in cringe-worthy situations, especially around her crush Machida. After saving a cat from being hit by a truck, she sees it become a bipedal creature, thank her, and dash away. Later that night, a parade of cats led by the Cat King—the father of the cat she rescued—shows up at her doorstep to express gratitude for saving his son, Prince Lune. As a token of appreciation, the Cat King gives Haru a tablet listing five presents: a replacement lacrosse stick for the one she broke while rescuing the prince, a field of green foxtail grass, some catnip, canned mice—and an unexpected proposal of marriage to Prince Lune. When Haru tries to refuse these gifts, particularly the marriage offer, a mix-up arises because one of the king's attendants misinterprets her response. Feeling confused and stuck, Haru follows a mysterious voice telling her to go to the Cat Bureau for help. Can the bureau untangle this mess and free Haru from the unwanted betrothal?
