Men Ji Yu, a member of the Tian Tai Tribe, receives an invitation from Ba Cha Ke Han to reside among the Qi Dan people. However, the language barrier prevents a smooth connection between Men Ji and the Qi Dan community. The only person who can draw even a faint smile from Men Ji is Ke Yi Gu Chai, the Qi Dan Princess. To help Men Ji adapt to Qi Dan customs, Ke Yi proposes teaching him the Qi Dan dance, an art form in which she is highly accomplished.
