Fairy Tail Gaiden is a trilogy that delves into the separate stories of Sting and Rogue, Gajeel and Levy, and Laxus together with the Thunder Tribe, with each tale occupying its own book. The anthology consists of: 1. Kengami no Souryuu (Twin Dragons of Sabertooth), 2. Rhodonite, and 3. Raigo Issen (Lightning Gods).

Fairy Tail Gaiden was published in English by Kodansha Comics USA from December 6, 2016, to October 23, 2018. It was also released in Brazilian Portuguese by Editora JBC from December 8, 2017, to April 20, 2018; and in Spanish by Norma Editorial from March 23, 2018, to October 31, 2018.
