Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari

Souta Tawara had long ago chosen not to inherit his family's udon shop, instead moving to Tokyo. When he returns to Kagawa Prefecture after his estranged father's death, he expects to find a deserted home and restaurant. Instead, he finds a scruffy young boy asleep inside a cooking pot, using a flour sack as a pillow. This boy is none other than Kagawa's legendary tanuki, a shape-shifting raccoon dog who has lived in the area for many years. Touched by the child's loneliness, Souta decides to care for the boy, naming him Poko. As Souta gets reacquainted with Kagawa, old memories from his youth surface, bringing with them regrets about the strained relationship he had with his father. Through Poko's innocent and pure-hearted nature, Souta begins to make peace with his past, as the two set out on a journey toward a shared and hopeful future.
