During the Taisho era, Suou runs a men's kimono shop alongside his brother Chouji and the rest of their family. One day, he is saved from a group of bandits by Godou, an army officer known as the "red demon." Although Suou already has a reputation as something of a playboy, he falls deeply in love with Godou at first sight. Yet Godou shows no interest in pursuing a romantic relationship with another man.
