Summary
Kan Mei serves as a formidable general from the state of Chu, widely recognized by the epithet "The Giant of Chu." His military career began with campaigns against Qi, where he systematically dismantled the numerous front lines bordering Chu, which shares boundaries with Qi, Zhao, Wei, and Han. Over the course of his long service, he conquered approximately one hundred cities without suffering a single defeat. His reputation has yet to extend to the distant lands of Yan and Qin, largely because Chu and Qin have not engaged in conflict for the past twenty to thirty years. Kan Mei ascended the military ranks rapidly within Chu, driven by his immense physical power. In a notable past encounter, he faced Ō Kotsu, one of the Six Great Generals of Qin, who had attempted to invade Chu. Despite being a relatively young general at the time, Kan Mei managed to wound Ō Kotsu with a single sword swing, forcing the renowned general to retreat hastily. Since that victory, he has defeated many other formidable opponents, remaining undefeated. Consequently, he has bestowed upon himself the title of "the strongest man in China."
