Summary
Kopoli, whose name Tombo is a Japanese nickname meaning dragonfly, is a fourteen-year-old resident of the city where Kiki makes her home. He has a deep obsession with aviation and participates in a club dedicated to constructing a human-powered aircraft. Initially, he is drawn to Kiki solely because of her ability to fly, viewing her with a sense of awe. Over time, however, their relationship evolves into a genuine friendship, even though his admiration for her skills remains evident.
