Summary

Karin is a Senbyou, or Immortal Cat, who has resided at the summit of Karin Tower for over eight centuries. The structure stands directly beneath Kami's Lookout, a location situated several hundred meters higher and accessible via Son Goku's nyoi-bō. Holding a divine status just below that of a Kami, Karin plays a significant role in Dragon Ball by training Goku during the Commander Red Saga to help him defeat Tao Pai Pai. Later in the series, including Dragon Ball Z, he periodically aids Goku and other characters by providing Senzu beans, which grow exclusively on a tree within his tower. In the original Japanese version, he is voiced by Ichirō Nagai and subsequently by Naoki Tatsuta.
