Summary
Adlet Mayer is one of the seven heroes sealed within the mist barrier, nearing his eighteenth birthday. He self-proclaims to be the strongest man on earth, a phrase he inserts into nearly every sentence, earning him the reputation of an idiot among his peers. Despite this brash exterior, Adlet possesses an abnormally strong will and refuses to give up, even in dire situations. He also holds a deep sense of camaraderie and friendship. Unlike the other heroes, who are either genius fighters or Saints, Adlet defines himself as an ordinary person. His life changed at age ten when the cunning Kyouma leader Tgurneu killed or abducted everyone around him. He subsequently became the disciple of Atoro, an old warrior specialized in hunting Kyouma. Over eight years of harsh training, Adlet learned to fight cunningly by utilizing tools like darts, smoke bombs, explosives, and traps. He mastered the crafting of these items, studied the weaknesses of every Kyouma type, and gained significant scientific knowledge. This rigorous training made him far more resilient and faster than most of the other heroes. Adlet typically wears four leather belts filled with pouches containing his various tools. He fights strategically, aiming to lower his opponent’s guard before striking with surprise. His main weapon is a short sword, which he primarily uses to parry attacks rather than to initiate them. He takes pride in his method of using everything available to win, believing that an ordinary person can only achieve the title of strongest man on earth through such tactics. Consequently, many look down on him, calling his methods dirty and despicable. Along with Mora, Adlet is one of two heroes who often try to calm others during conflicts. He prefers to talk things out rather than fight and is the character among the heroes who trusts others the most easily. Due to the tragedy in his village, he harbors a strong hatred for Tgurneu.
