Summary
Yumiko is a minor character who appears in both the first season of the Sailor Moon anime and the initial arc of the manga. She is a classmate and friend of Usagi and Naru at Juuban Municipal Junior High School. Initially, Yumiko and her companion Kuri serve as filler characters who offer details regarding new locations, individuals, and occurrences before the other Sailor Senshi are introduced. In the manga, Yumiko is among the students who purchase energy-draining jewelry from Morga, a Youma working for Jadeite, at Osa-P jewelers. In episode 7 of the anime, she and Kuri are hypnotized by Derella and participate in the Cinderella Caravan talent search. She also makes an appearance in episode 25, where she informs Usagi about Crane Game Joe.
