Summary
As a devoted member of the Oni-Baku-gumi, Makoto relies on his unwavering loyalty and steadfast support for his friends rather than exceptional combat prowess. He is quite successful with the opposite sex and eventually settles down with a woman named Mami. His history includes being bullied by Saejima and Kamata prior to their reformation, and he was later manipulated into betraying Eikichi during the initial meeting between the Kamakura and Shonan gangs. Despite this lapse, he ultimately demonstrated the courage to remain loyal to his comrades. Makoto is also distinct in the series for frequently changing his hairstyle, a visual trait that evolves multiple times throughout the narrative.
