Summary
Satou is a twenty-year-old chef who strikes people as helpful yet intimidating. He harbors romantic feelings for Yachiyo but struggles to voice them. His attempts to drop hints go unnoticed because Yachiyo is so devoted to Kyouko. Satou often vents his frustrations on Popura by teasing her or twisting the truth, which she accepts naively. When Souma attempts to assist him in developing his relationship with Yachiyo, Satou responds by relentlessly striking him with a pan, revealing his sensitivity regarding his crush. A bass guitar visible in the background of his apartment suggests it is one of his hobbies.
