Summary
Makihara serves as the third baseman for the Seishū baseball club’s prefab squad, placing him two grades above Kō. He is notorious for his chronic tardiness and harbors a deep-seated resentment toward Kō’s natural talent, which often interferes with his own performance on the field. His history includes a troubled relationship with Nakanishi during their junior high school days, where he frequently bullied the other boy. Makihara eventually retires from the team following the conclusion of the initial practice match against the first-string lineup.
