Nadeshiko Previous Leader
Summary
The former leader of Nadeshiko Village is a mysterious figure who, decades ago, crossed paths with Jiraiya during his trip to the village for novel "research." After he fled, she chased him down and challenged him to a duel for his hand in marriage. Since neither combatant could gain the upper hand, the fight was postponed with the stipulation that if they never reunited, their respective students would eventually meet and fight in their place. This vow ultimately fell to her pupil, Shizuka, and Jiraiya’s final student, Naruto Uzumaki. Although widely believed to be Shizuka’s mother, her maternal status is never explicitly confirmed, and she is officially credited simply as the "Previous Head of the village (先代里長)." She makes her appearance in episode 235.
