Mirka Fortuna serves as a dedicated attendant to the empress and holds the prestigious position of Head of the Imperial Secret Council. She is also the grandmother of Ion Fortuna and is recognized as Augusta Vradica’s most trusted confidante and double. While she possesses a kind nature, Mirka is equally known for her cunning and eccentricity. Her most significant contribution to the series involves orchestrating a complex scheme to lure out and expose extremist factions within the Empire. This plan required her to sacrifice her own grandson, Ion, by using him as bait. Additionally, she acted as a decoy for Seth during an assassination attempt. She holds the title of Duchess of Moldova and is regarded as the Keeper of Secret History.
