Summary
Shirayuki is an eighteen-year-old girl with distinctive red hair and green eyes. She is a bright and resourceful individual who is determined and unafraid to speak her mind. Her knowledge extends to both botany and medicine, allowing her to take matters into her own hands whenever problems or conflicts arise. Over time, she learns to rely on others, particularly Zen. Because of her rare hair color, Shirayuki is proposed as a concubine to Raji, a prince who is foolish but famous. Unable to decline the offer, she escapes to a neighboring country. During her travels, she encounters a boy named Zen who has accidentally injured himself. She boldly treats his wounds, and they become friends. Shirayuki later discovers that Zen is actually a prince of that country, and he rescues her from being taken by Raji. They subsequently travel to his palace, where she applies for the position of Palace Pharmacist so she can move freely within the castle where Zen resides.
