Summary
Fuyumi Kujirakawa participates in both the girls basketball team and the manga club, though she is deeply unhappy about being significantly taller than her peers. This height disparity bothers her, as she is aware that boys generally prefer partners shorter than themselves. When Kunio Murai receives a love letter, the sender’s name is partially obscured, with only the kanji "冬" visible. Murai initially assumes the letter is from Aoi Fukada, but Kōji Fujiyoshi and Tadaaki Kusano point out that Fuyumi is also a possible candidate. Although the letter actually came from Kumiko Fukada, Fuyumi harbors feelings for Murai but hesitates to confess because of their height difference. Murai previously remarked that a relationship with her would feel unnatural and strange, but his perspective on her eventually begins to shift.
