Summary
Adam Smasher is a towering full-borg solo and one of the primary antagonists of the series. Originally from New York City, he formerly served as a mercenary in the United States Army before becoming Arasaka's Head of Security by 2077. His cybernetic enhancements include a Sandevistan, Cyberaudio, Wolvers, Radiation Shielding, a Biopod, and the Samson Cyborg Body. With little humanity remaining, Smasher possesses no empathy for others, even his fellow employees. However, because Arasaka chose to keep him alive after a near-fatal incident, he repays their mercy by ruthlessly eliminating any enemies the corporation assigns to him. His transformation occurred after an RPG blast reduced him to mush, leaving him with no viable options. Arasaka presented him with a choice: either pull the plug or become a full-body cyborg. Lacking alternatives and showing little regard for his human side, he agreed to the procedure, emerging as a being more machine than man.
