Sailor Iron Mouse
Summary
Sailor Iron Mouse is the inaugural member of the Sailor Animamates to make an appearance. In the anime adaptation, she operates under the human alias Chuuko Nezu, a name that functions as a clever pun. While Chuuko and Nezu are both standard given and family names in Japan, "chuu" mimics the squeak of a mouse, and "nezu" literally translates to mouse. Staying true to her rodent-themed moniker, she is exceptionally petite, standing at least a foot shorter than her victims. Although Takeuchi’s manga notes indicate she is the same height as Chibiusa, she appears slightly taller in the anime. She also harbors a distinct fear of cats. Her tenure in the manga is brief, spanning only a few pages in Act 43. She makes her debut at the Fantastic Music Hall during a joint concert featuring the Three Lights and Michiru Kaioh. During this encounter, she utilizes the attack Galactica Crunch before being defeated by Sailor Star Healer. It is subsequently revealed that she was responsible for the demise of her home planet’s guardian, Sailor Chuu. The anime portrays her personality as a volatile mix of childishness and intensity. She tends to target famous or notable individuals and appears to take pleasure in her duties, yet she displays open terror toward Galaxia. Her combat capabilities include warping through space using a summoned phone booth, which she can also deploy as a defensive barrier. Serving as a primary antagonist for several episodes, she meets her end in episode 181. Galaxia executes her as punishment for failing to collect starseeds, despite Iron Mouse’s success in uncovering the true identity of Sailor Star Fighter.
