Summary
Zekki, the middle brother of the Oni trio, stands as the most cruel and heartless adversary Nube and his allies encounter. Though he looks like a young teenage male, he is an immensely powerful and dangerous entity who delights in killing anyone who obstructs him, regardless of gender or age. He has a peculiar habit of using musical terminology and even a baton to describe the carnage and destruction he inflicts. Zekki arrives in the human world after three years of climbing, hunting for the man who now possesses his brother Baki: the exorcist-teacher Nube. He easily defeats Izuna Hazuki, the Itako girl, and swiftly overpowers Nube, Yukime, and Tamamo to uncover the hidden "power" the teacher allegedly used to seal Baki in his hand. Upon discovering that Nube did not perform the sealing himself but rather relied on Minako's control from within the oni, Zekki ceases to hold back. The ensuing battles between the trio and Zekki become increasingly desperate, with Nube on the losing end despite wielding a true demon-sealing bracelet. Following sacrifices by Nube's students, Yukime, and Tamamo, Nube voluntarily unseals the oni within his hand and is seemingly consumed by Baki. However, he retains his human heart, and after defeating Zekki, he is revived by the mermaid Hayame.
