Torioi, Kiyori
Seiyuu / Dub
Summary
Kiyori Torioi is the best friend of Sumika and Ushio, a companion who remains somewhat of a mystery to the wider school population. She is frequently seen tagging along with the pair during school hours and various outings, maintaining a constant presence in their daily lives. Her schedule is largely dominated by her involvement in the school music club, which limits the time she spends hanging out with Sumika and Kazama outside of those activities. Personality-wise, Kiyori possesses a cheerful disposition and is almost always found eating or snacking on something. She is not romantically interested in girls, yet she is fully accustomed to her friend being a lesbian. While she shares the general exasperation of others regarding Ushio’s transient crushes and constant chatter about finding a cute girlfriend, she remains supportive of Kazama. When the Girls Club is formed, Kiyori chooses not to join but stays nearby, joining them because she believes it "might be fun." Her primary grievance involves Sumika’s occasional jealousy, which manifests as awkwardness, sadness, or meanness toward Ushio. These emotional outbursts tend to spoil Kiyori’s cherished peaceful lunchtime, a meal she values highly, much like most other foods. Kiyori appears vaguely aware that Sumi’s feelings for Kazama extend beyond mere friendship. On occasion, she attempts to exclude herself—and sometimes others—from the group to allow the two more private time together, although this behavior may simply be coincidental. Her motivations are rarely explained, as she seems far more focused on having fun and enjoying snacks than engaging in unnecessary emotional melodrama. She often punctuates her refusals with the phrase "I kindly decline!" followed by a theatrical, fake laugh.
