Summary
Two small beings arrive in Moominvalley carrying a large suitcase that holds the King's Ruby. They communicate in a peculiar language that utilizes spoonerisms, such as when Thingumy asks, "Man you cake it out?" and Bob replies, "Mot nutch." The Groke pursues them in an attempt to seize the ruby's contents, and the pair briefly cause distress to Moominmamma by stealing her handbag. After returning the bag, the entire family throws a party to celebrate their presence. When Thingumy and Bob open the suitcase to reveal the gem, the Hobgoblin appears. Although they do not hand over the King's Ruby, they utilize the Hobgoblin's offer of granting wishes to ask that he receive a jewel as beautiful as theirs, resulting in him gaining the Queen's Ruby.
