Summary
Mic Sounders the 13th is a Super-AI robot constructed by NASA under the model designation XCR-13, which stands for Experimental Cosmo Robo. Visually, he is a compact, blocky robot painted in red and blue, featuring monitor-based eyes that shift to display various emotions, such as displaying the face of GaoGaiGar when he feels brave. Initially, he lacks significant combat powers and is mostly seen piloting a whimsical yellow flying vehicle known as Baribarien. His debut occurs after he escapes his containment unit, leading him to a radi-robo competition where Mamoru Amami is competing. For much of his early appearances, Mic serves primarily as comic relief, often rushing into perilous situations to aid GaoGaiGar only to be sent flying away while crying out, "Ohhh noooooooooooooo!" Later, Mic unlocks a transformation into his true form, a taller red and blue robot styled after a rock-and-roll singer. During this transformation, Baribarien flips over to become a mobile stage called Studio 7, a nod to the series' producers. In this mode, the stage generates Mic’s musical arsenal, including the flying V keytar Dazzling VV, the Thundering V microphones, and the Sparkling V roofie harmonica. His combat capabilities rely entirely on sound manipulation, facilitated by special Discs stored within Studio 7. While he utilizes general-purpose Disc M and Disc P, he also accesses the hazardous Disc X and the significantly more potent Disc F. Throughout both forms, Mic speaks with a unique accent, appending "Demone!" to sentences in his Cosmo Robo state and frequently exclaiming phrases equivalent to "It's awesome!" while in his Boom Robo form.
