Summary
At present, very little is known about Gauron, yet he stands as Sousuke’s most formidable adversary throughout the TV series. He operates as a high-level terrorist backed by a shadowy organization whose benefactors seem to wield even greater resources and power than the notorious Soviet KGB. Though he is believed to be Japanese or of Asian descent, Gauron shares a long, bloody history with Sousuke. He once served as a captain in MITHRIL, departing before the main cast arrived. During Sousuke’s time as an Afghan guerrilla, he ambushed Gauron and the Soviet Spetsnaz commander Major Kalinin, leaving a prominent scar on Gauron’s forehead. This injury is merely one of many battle scars inflicted by Sousuke upon this ruthless killer over the course of their conflict.
