Summary
Nugire Yainu served as the shipwright for the Black Cat Pirates and made his first appearance in Chapter 37 and Episode 10. He was killed by the Marines three years prior to the main story. Jango hypnotized him to believe he was Captain Kuro, a deception that worked partly because Nugire bore a passing resemblance to the captain. Although his name was never mentioned in either the anime or the manga, it was later revealed in the One Piece Blue Data book.
