Summary
Ruriko Asagi is the girlfriend of Kotan Kanji, whom she first encountered two years prior while she was employed by a refugee support NGO. Even after she departed from her position, the couple maintained their connection through a long-distance relationship that eventually led to their engagement. However, three months ago, communication with Kotan abruptly ceased. Following the sudden receipt of an email from him containing a farewell message, she traveled from Akita to Tokyo in an effort to locate him. During her search, she was rescued from a group of hostile refugees by Togusa, who subsequently interrogated her regarding the incident involving Kotan in Niihama.
