Summary
As the eldest of the Toguro Brothers, Elder Toguro is notably diminutive, often choosing to perch on Younger Toguro’s shoulder rather than walk. He possesses a far more volatile temperament than his sibling, capable of provoking anger in the typically stoic Younger Toguro. His primary objective during the tournament was the annihilation of Team Urameshi and their allies. In Japan’s second Character Popularity Poll, he secured eleventh place with 421 votes. Alongside his brother and Genkai, Elder Toguro co-founded a dojo. Following the assault by Kairen, the trio participated in the Dark Tournament. Upon their victory, he and his brother sought demonhood, eventually becoming servants of Sakyo. His combat prowess centers on body manipulation, allowing him to rearrange his internal organs and reshape his limbs into weapons for his brother, such as swords or spears. He can generate drills from his fingers, transform his arm into a blade, or mold his limb into a miniature human puppet. Additionally, he exhibits formidable regenerative capabilities, enabling him to reform after being severed and granting him a form of basic immortality. He made his debut alongside his brother under Gonzo’s command. During their battle against Kuwabara and Yusuke, Elder Toguro assumed the form of a sword for his sibling. Following this engagement, he remained largely in the background until the final round of the tournament.
