Summary
Born on June 10, Wakaba Tsukishima is the second daughter of her family and a fifth-grade student during the first part of the story. She has been inseparable from Kō since their childhood, frequently discussing their shared future and even providing him with a list of suggested birthday gifts that culminates in an engagement ring for her twentieth birthday. Her habit of kissing Kō often irritates their mutual friend Akaishi, who harbors a secret crush on her. Additionally, she has given Kō alarm clocks for several consecutive birthdays to help him overcome his difficulty waking up in the morning. The name Wakaba translates to "young leaf."
