Summary
Mosquito serves as the butler for Arachne, presenting himself as a diminutive elderly man distinguished by a large, pointed nose that functions as a proboscis for draining blood. Although he appears frail, he has revealed the ability to revert to his state from eight centuries ago, suggesting hidden power that likely requires high-grade blood to activate. Despite his lethal nature, he possesses a code of honor, demonstrated when he allowed Maka, Black Star, and Kid to escape because their time was expiring and their combat prowess had impressed him. His combat capabilities evolve through several temporal forms. The form from one hundred years ago features an enlarged, gorilla-like upper body while his legs remain unchanged, representing his most durable state. The form from two hundred years ago extends his limbs and nose into a streamlined, feline structure, granting him peak speed and evasion, a form he utilized against Death the Kid and Free. At four hundred years old, his soul wavelength expands significantly, allowing him to assume the shape of a young man with slicked-back hair. In this legion-like state, he can reconstruct his body from bat-shaped darkness, possessing the speed to sever Kid’s arm and split Free in half in under a second. The form from eight hundred years ago has only been mentioned verbally. Mosquito primarily attacks using his needle-like nose, with specific techniques varying by form. He employs Police Stringer, a spinning drill attack where he thrusts himself forward on his nose, and its more potent variant, Three Piece Police Stringer, which strikes three times. Additionally, he utilizes Darkness Discord, a technique where he constructs a pentacle beneath his target before splitting into a vortex of eight thousand bats to trap the victim in destructive ultrasonic waves.
