Summary
Grigori Rasputin serves as an Alter Ego-class Servant and is one of the three Alter Ego apostles of the Alien God within the Lostbelts of Fate/Grand Order: Cosmos in the Lostbelt. He operates in tandem with the seven Crypters to replace the Greater History of Man with the Lostbelts. Rasputin initially appears under the alias Kirei Kotomine, acting as a Church Executor charged with overseeing the investigation into the dissolution of the previous Chaldea staff for the incoming director Goldolf Musik. Historically, Rasputin was a self-proclaimed holy man who played a partial role in the collapse of the Romanov Dynasty. He gained the trust of Tsar Nicholas II’s family by miraculously healing the tsar’s son Alexei, who suffered from hemophilia. Leveraging this favor, Rasputin enriched himself and became an influential figure in the tsar's court. Although rumors circulated regarding his heresy and an adulterous affair with the tsarina, the tsar ignored protests from prime minister Pyotr Stolypin and the secret police. After further allegations of rape and a series of Russian defeats in World War I, Rasputin was assassinated by nobles who blamed his influence over the tsarina for Russia's decline.
