Summary
Monmon Retsusai, referred to as Miss Wriggle in the English dub, serves as the national language and poetry teacher at Mochinoki Middle School. She is deployed by Mr. Touyama as his "secret weapon" in history class, a tactic designed to fail Kiyo as part of Touyama’s revenge scheme. The male students, excluding Kiyo, become instantly infatuated with her cute appearance, sultry voice, and large breasts. Although she holds a grudge against Touyama, she enjoys watching him suffer from "love sick" agony over her affections. Monmon also brings Gash and Umagon to class to serve as her backup dancers while she performs her song "Mon Mon," known as the "Love Sick Dance" in the English version. While the rest of the class dances along to the track, Kiyo remains entirely unmoved and does not participate.
