Summary
Sailor Aluminum Siren is the second of the Sailor Animamates to make an appearance. In the anime adaptation, she adopts the human alias Reiko Aya, a name that likely serves as a pun referencing words for "puppet," "mermaid," "makeup," and "child spirit." In the manga, Aluminum Siren debuts in Act 44 on the roof of Juuban High School, where she assaults Usagi and Seiya using her Galactica Tsunami attack. She manages to steal the starseeds of Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter, resulting in their deaths, but is ultimately slain by Sailor Star Maker and Sailor Star Fighter. By capturing the starseed of the Senshi from her home planet, Sailor Mermaid, she earns the approval of Galaxia. Additional materials indicate that her hobby is singing ballads. In the anime, she first appears in Episode 182. When off-duty, she presents herself as polite, ditzy, and oblivious, often eating or complaining about hunger. However, once combat begins, she sheds these quirks to become utterly ruthless. Disguised as Aya Reiko, she collaborates with Karasuma Akane, also known as Sailor Lead Crow, who reveals that the two previously competed for the title of Number One Animamate. Aluminum Siren eventually uncovers Sailor Moon’s true identity and comes close to killing her, but is intercepted by the Guardian Senshi and the Sailor Starlights. Despite successfully learning their identities, she is executed by Galaxia in Episode 188 for failing to defeat Sailor Moon. She is the only Animamate to utilize her manga attack, Galactica Tsunami, in the anime version, although this adaptation depicts the move merely as throwing nearby water bottles, juice boxes, soda cans, and similar objects at the Senshi.
