Summary

Shippou is an orphaned young youkai-fox whose father was slain by the Thunder Brothers, Hiten and Manten. Driven by a desire for vengeance, he allied himself with Kagome and Inuyasha, becoming the first companion to join their traveling group. Although he possesses shape-shifting abilities, his transformations are often incomplete and easily betrayed by his telltale tail. He also utilizes a variety of quirks, such as turning into a flying wooden horse, leaving trails of yelping mushrooms and acorns, employing illusionary tricks with toys like his giant spinning top, deploying his race's fox fire magic, and causing objects to multiply. Typically naive yet observant, Shippou frequently offers cheeky commentary that draws retaliatory head bonks from Inuyasha. Serving as the youngest and smallest member of the group, alongside Kirara in her kitten form, he is often carried on shoulders, backs, or in arms rather than walking or running on his own.
