Summary
As the second-in-command of the Midnight Angels, Junya Akutsu was once a close friend and kohai to Kyousuke Masaki. He harbored deep resentment toward Eikichi Onizuka for diverting Masaki’s attention away from him in the past. Returning with ambitions to restore the Midnight Angels’ dominance over Shonan’s underworld, Akutsu had subjugated the Idaten gang, formerly led by Akira Takezawa, and manipulated Nagisa into attempting to assassinate Ryuuji, an effort that ultimately resulted in her being injured. Akutsu possesses a disturbing obsession with arson, a trait that earned him a bitter rivalry with Toshiki Kamishima of the Satsuriku Butai after Kamishima severely wounded him using fire during their shared time in the second-generation Midnight Angels. After being defeated by Onizuka and Kamishima, Akutsu reemerges later in the narrative to aid the Oni-Baku when they are in dire need.
