Kanaria is the second Rozen Maiden doll, known for being as eccentric as she is adorable. She constantly refers to herself in the third person and frequently boasts about taking her sisters' Rosa Mysticae, though she repeatedly fails in these attempts. Viewing herself as a stealthy prowler, she enjoys watching her sisters through binoculars. Her bright, somewhat arrogant personality makes her a staple of comedic episodes, yet she is a competent opponent who wields a deceptively cute violin that destroys enemies with sound. She eventually becomes good friends and rivals with Hinaichigo, whose personalities complement each other. Kanaria ends her sentences with "kashira," mirroring Hinaichigo's habit of using "na no." Her favorite food is tamagoyaki, which birds often steal from her. Introduced in the second season and appearing briefly in Rozen Maiden: Ouverture, she makes humorous attempts to infiltrate Jun's home to steal Rosa Mysticae. Her artificial spirit, named Pizzicato, reflects the technique of plucking orchestral strings and is used as a counterattack. Her name translates to "canary."
