Summary

Makie Sasaki is a cheerful and outgoing student who excels in gymnastics. With light pink hair and green eyes, she was born on March 7, 1989, and has blood type O. Her hobbies include gymnastics and admiring cute things, particularly Negi-kun, while she strongly dislikes slimy substances like nattou, which are fermented beans. She is an active member of the Gymnastics Club. Academically, she is considered one of the least intelligent students in Negi’s class, earning her the title Baka Pink as part of the Baka Rangers, a group of the five worst-performing pupils. Initially a minor character, Makie’s role expands later in the manga, where she develops a slight crush on Negi, mostly driven by her perception of him as cute rather than deep romantic feelings. Despite her frequent proximity to her teacher, she remains completely unaware that he is a mage. In the Negima!? anime adaptation, her characterization shifts significantly. While she retains her cheerful and kind nature, she serves primarily as comic relief, often being mocked by her roommate, Ayaka. Despite this dynamic, the two coexist peacefully in the same dormitory.
